Playback Room pt. III: Bring Your Own

For its third instalment of Playback Room, the series of exhibitions devoted to recorded music, Between Bridges invited Yusuf Etiman to develop a program of film screenings, audio playbacks and other events throughout the month of February 2015. You are also invited to get involved with ideas and / or bring in music on a variety of media.

Yusuf Etiman, born 1969 in Istanbul, lives in Berlin. He works as a graphic designer mainly in the context of electronic music and fine arts. He has created and art directed the visual appearance for Berghain, Lab.oratory and OstGut Ton. He has designed various publications and printed matter for artists and art institutions.

Until 2011 he has coordinated the influential space/studio project basso in Berlin, which he founded in 2004, and contributed to its content primarily by selecting a popular film programme and publishing the basso magazin.

Recently Yusuf Etiman has been researching and conceptualising a project for a purpose built, acoustically optimised, space for sound, featuring live and playback sound events in a community based curatorial framework.
